About theweproject
Two people.
One real wedding.
theweproject was built by people getting married, for people getting married. We were tired of spreadsheets, of apps that assumed the bride did everything, of tools that pretended one partner would do all the work and that the rest of the family would just stay quietly out of the way.
Our story
We started building theweproject after our own engagement turned into a project‑management nightmare. One partner was in Beirut, the other in Amsterdam, the venue invoiced in dirhams, and the wedding was in France. The "best" wedding apps assumed one partner would project‑manage everything alone, locked the actually useful features behind paywalls, and pushed vendor commissions on every screen.
We wanted a workspace where both of us could plan, where our parents could help without breaking things, and where the venue could see exactly what they needed to see — nothing more. We wanted to track every gift and remember who to thank, and we wanted a single place that quietly held everything together.
So we built it. theweproject is what we wished existed. It's now in public beta, free, and shaped weekly by the couples using it.
What we believe
Six beliefs we keep coming back to.
01
Plan as a couple
No app should default to one partner doing all the work. Every feature is built two‑headed.
02
Permissions, not chaos
Letting your mother help shouldn't mean letting her edit your budget. Granular access, always.
03
Less, on purpose
No ads, no vendor marketplace, no upsells, no paywalled features. Every tool is in the box. The smallest possible product that gets you to "I do".
04
Calm, not corporate
Wedding planning is emotional. We use warm typography, gentle motion and zero financial jargon.
05
Free during beta — for real
No credit card hidden behind a button. No "trial". Beta means free, in plain English.
06
Privacy by default
Your wedding details are yours. We never sell, never advertise, never share without consent.
Plan with us.
It's on the house.
Public beta is open. Bring your partner, your parents, your planner. We'll bring the workspace.
